The 100 Black Men of Savannah conducts the 100 Junior Investment Scholars Program, under the leadership of Charles Gilyard, Economic Empowerment Committee Chairman. This program introduces middle - high school students to the world of investment through education, financial literacy, and mentoring.
Under the guidance and tutelage of members of 100 Black Men of Savannah, students are provided with a theoretical and practical understanding of the imperative of financial literacy and the complexities of the stock market. They are then afforded real world experience in implementing this understanding by investing equity. Our students use the Stock Market game to invest simulated funds in this real time stimulation. Many of our students go on to compete during our annual National 100 Black Men of America competition.
