Collegiate 100

The Savannah 100 sponsors four Collegiate 100 chapters – at Armstrong State University, Savannah State University, Georgia Southern University, Women of Georgia Southern University. Under the overall guidance, support and mentoring of the 100 Black Men of Savannah, Inc, the Collegiate 100 chapters aid in the development of the social, emotional, educational, and physical needs of Savannah’s youth who have few or no positive role models. The Savannah 100 also provides mentoring and networking opportunities to members of its Collegiate 100.

Membership in the Collegiate 100 is drawn from African–American college students who must meet established academic and other criteria. Each chapter has an advisor from the faculty or staff of its institution who is also a member of the 100 Black Men of Savannah.  The Savannah 100 fosters a culture of academic excellence in which students are recognized for their academic achievements.

Each Collegiate 100 implements its own program which involve mentoring middle school and Leadership Academy students, campus and other community activities and scholarship programs.

In 2012, the Armstrong Atlantic Collegiate 100 chapter was honored by the National 100 as 2012 Collegiate Chapter of the Year.
