Mentoring the 100 Way Across a Lifetime
The needs in
our Savannah community continue to grow, both in size and complexity,
particularly because of the worsening economy. Accordingly, we must develop,
share, and refine new and creative ways to address issues in our community.
Organizations that serve our community must engage in collaborative work models
that optimize our resources, and leverage our strengths. The Savannah 100 will
meet these challenges.

The Savannah 100 target conditions that disproportionately impact African-American and other low-income groups by partnering with other non-profit organizations to promote preventative health strategies, deliver screenings, and provide education on health disparities. We also seek to alter lifestyle and socio-economic factors that aggravate medical conditions or impair treatment.

Our economic development program fosters financial responsibility and encourages entrepreneurship by providing information and education about owning and operating businesses. We aim to develop programs that address the economic underdevelopment of the African-American community. The challenge is daunting but we are prepared to confront it.
