14th Annual Gala - April 10, 2010 - Ticket Availability
Last Modified: 2/1/2010 2:54:31 PM

The 100 Black Men of Savannah, Inc. announces its 14th Annual Benefit Banquet and Gala on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Savannah’s International Trade & Convention Center.  This year, we will recognize some of Savannah’s citizens who have made a difference in serving our youth in our four major program areas – education, economic development, health & wellness, and mentoring.

By “Mentoring the 100 Way Across a Lifetime”, the Savannah 100 aims to create an environment in which our youth are motivated to achieve and to empower both them and their families to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic fabric of our community.

Last year, we reached hundreds of Savannah youth, from all walks of life, through our Youth Leadership Academy, post-secondary scholarship assistance, our acclaimed program on health disparities initiatives, and our Collegiate 100 chapters at Savannah State, Georgia Southern and Armstrong Atlantic State universities. With your help, we can and will reach more of Savannah’s at-risk youth.

Our 2010 strategic plan, “Meeting Challenges; Leading by Example” provides for mentoring as an integral part of each Savannah 100 program, expansion of existing programs to reach more of Savannah’s at-risk youth, and new childhood obesity prevention and a pioneering economic development program in partnership with Savannah’s public schools.

As an IRS 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, your partnership with the Savannah 100 will help ensure the continuation – and expansion – of these and other “Four for the Future” programs.

We invite you to purchase a table for you and your guests or, in the alternative, to sponsor a table which would seat mentees and members of our Collegiate 100 who might otherwise be unable to attend the Gala. The names of sponsoring individuals and organizations will be prominently noted at each sponsored table and in our Gala program.

In light of the expected high demand for Gala tickets, we have instituted an “Early Bird” pricing policy. For tables and tickets, for which payment in full is received on or before March 1, 2010, individual tickets will remain $75 per person and a table for ten will remain at $750.  For tables and tickets, for which payment in full is received after March 1, 2010 individual tickets will cost $99 per person and a table for ten will cost $990.

We have two convenient options for you to purchase your Gala tickets:

First, you may remit your payment via Pay Pal, by visiting the Home Page on our web site at www.100BlackMenSav.org;

Second, you may send your corporate or personal check or money order, payable to the “100 Black Men of Savannah, Inc.”, to us at PO Box 14606, Savannah, GA 31416.
